John Quatro posing in front of one of his outdoor aviaries holding a nest of young Siskins. Notice the aviary is covered with some kind of vines to protect the birds from the summer month's outrageously hot temperature. This photo was taken on February 17th, 1999 by G.a Abbate, Sr.
John Quatro remarked, "The heat in the summer is my worst enemy.  People, as well as the birds, suffer a great deal because of the excessive heat."  Mr. Quatro, because of the extremely high temperature in the summner, changes the water in his aviaries 2-3 times per day.
