. A 12 year old breeder of Gouldians and member of S.O.R. who was assigned the task of taking care of a long row of Type Canary display

A 19 year old breeder of Gouldians member of S.O.R. who was assigned the task of taking care of the Gibber Italico and Frills Canaries

A beautiful and colorful English Type Zebra Finch. This specimen was awarded Be t of the Species. Notice the large size of this variety of Zebra.

A colorful normal Black Head Gouldian. The Gouldian Finches were numerously exhibited in the show.

An adult mature member of the S.O.R. who was assigned the task of taking care of a long 2 rows of exhibited birds. Notice the bright red uniform that every one of the members wear during their time working with the birds.

On the left side of the long row are the large exhibition cages used to exhibit the Parrots and Hook Bills, large and small. Sorry the photo is not that clear. On the right side of the row is where some of the Budgerigars were exhibited.

What appears to be a normal Zebra, but notice the large size. Also a first place winner in that category.

Another first prize winner. A white chest, orange head, silver Gouldian? (Is this a silver?)

A female Red Orange Ground Mosaic. Not a winner, but a pretty nice specimen, which we have some here

A Red Orange Ground Lipochrome Red Mosaic. Not a show winner, but we wish we had some like this here in the USA to work with.

A Lipochrome Yellow Non-Frost Colorbred Canary. Not a show winner, but a very nice specimen

Indeed, a very nice Silver Brown Ino male. Not a show winner, but a very nice bird.

very beautiful large English Type Brown (?) Zebra Finch. A show winner that scored 93 points.

A huge, green Crested variety. The Crested and Crest bred were very numerous in the 2006 S.O.R. Exhibition.

Another Crested Canary. The photo is not that great, but the bird was nice.

A few visitors and authorities around the refreshment table during the inauguration ceremony. The big crowd has yet to arrive.

A row of exhibited Gloster Canaries. Noticeable is the uniformities of the cages, all the same color and the same size. Notice also, each cage has attached a score sheet. This and all the photos above were taken prior to the opening to the public. Notice on the score sheets the colorful Italian flags. Every score sheet with the tri color Italian flags were show winners

At the moment of the opening ceremony. At the extreme right, the President of COM, Mr. Keese Mundaag, next to Mr. Mundaag the Mayor of Reggio Emilia with the tri colored sash (sorry I do not remember his name) the tri colors indicates the city of the tri color (Citta del Tricolore), next to the mayor with the blue sash is the governor of the Providence of Reggio Emilia, to the extreme left is Mr. Parrelle President of the S.O.R. This photo and all the photos were taken by yours truly G.A. Abbate with my cheap digital camera.
