For decades, I have been traveling in many parts of the world; during all of the traveling, I always manage to visit bird fanciers and bird breeders everywhere. Especially, during the breeding season, I noticed that practically, all breeding cages with many species of birds feeding youngsters; had two or more treat cups filled with some yellow substance. I asked many breeders what was that substance in the treat cups. They replied to me, "It is la Polentina." I noticed the parent birds ate that substance with gusto and they all fed the youngsters with tender loving care. I asked for the formula! Well, for the last three years, I personally have been working to compose a better Polentina mixture for the North American market!

MIXING and FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Mix 1 part ABBA 96 with 1 part of very hot boiling water (which will further pasteurize the formula). Mix thoroughly to achieve the desired consistency. We recommend the consistency of cake batter or pancake batter.  As the young birds mature, the consistency of ABBA 96 can be adjusted by adding more ABBA 96 to achieve a thicker consistency. Allow ABBA 96 to cool to a temperature between 103-105 degrees Fahrenheit. Fill or draw the prepared ABBA 96 into the desired size syringe.  Feed the youngsters until their hunger has been satisfied and their crop appears full.  Be careful not to pump air into the baby bird's crop. Be sure to keep the baby birds warm and comfortable, their environment must be at the proper temperature. Before the next feeding, make sure the baby bird's crop is almost empty. MIX ONLY THE AMOUNT OF ABBA 96 NEEDED FOR EACH FEEDING.  DISCARD ANY LEFTOVER FORMULA. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REFRIGERATE AND REFEED.  It will be dangerous to the health of the young baby birds. Keep in mind that all moist food sours quickly, especially during the warm muggy months.  Do not feed sour, moldy food to the baby birds. FOLLOW THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.
