An educational bulletin is published dealing with all aspects of cage bird breeding. The bulletin contains articles on maintenance and diet of cage birds, prevention and cure of cafe bird diseases, news from all over the world, and articles on genetical cage bird breeding. COM USA, Inc. is a non-profit organization and strives to establish and train a panel of judges for all species of cage birds. In all, everything there is to know about cage birds is dealt with in the educational material published by COM-USA, Inc.

Any fancier, as a member of COM-USA, Inc, will be able to purchase regulatory leg bands that are recognized Internationally. Because COM-USA leg bands are silver in color you may be able to exhibit your birds in other exhibitions throughout the world.

Any bird club in any part of the world may affiliate with COM-USA, Inc. The affiliation dues are $75.00 per year. In turn, the clubs will receive educational bulletins and beautiful patronage awards for the best bird in each division plus several other incentives. COM-USA recognizes six divisions.

The fee for individual U.S. membership is $10.00. Please add an additional $5.00 for postage to Canada and Mexico. International membership is $35.00 per year for regular surface mail.

Any individual or club may join at any time of the year and they will receive the all the issues for that year.

About the COM USA

The "COM" in COM USA is an acrynom for the French words which translates into the World Ornithological Society which is a non-profit, educational organization promoting the preservation of all avian species. This organization was formed as a successor to the Greater North American Color Bred Association (GNA) which at that time was devoted to the breeding, maintenance and husbandry of canaries, finches and related birds.

The COM USA is an international organization. Monthly meetings are held every month . Each club meeting consists of an educational program on genetic breeding of all cage birds, focusing on conservation and preservation of all species of birds. Refreshments are served at all meetings.

The COM USA publishes an informative bulletin and sponsors an annual competitive show (see show page). Birds are scored by points to predetermined standards. Judges are also trained, mentored and accredited.
